Gingelly wheat dosa / Sesame wheat dosa

I was a spicy breakfast lover until I got married. I always wanted to kick start ma day with a punch breakfast. I must say ma habits or likes changed a bit in the direction of Arun's taste after our marriage. Now, as I like Arun, I like a less spicy breakfast to start our day. I keep trying something new always. Whatever I cook, for me it is a non spicy one but turns out to be a spicy one for Arun. So, whenever I ask him about his opinion about ma breakfast menu, he always tells that it is 'OK'. Therefore ma search and experiment for a less spicy breakfast always continues. I thought I'll make something healthy as well as plain. That's how gingelly wheat dosa (My nomencalutre :-0) came into ma pan.

Wheat, sesame, gingelly oil are all light to stomach. It tasted good with garlic coconut chutney I made. I shall post the recipe of it soon.

Hope you like the instant healthy wheat dosa!!!

  1. Wheat flour : 1 Cup
  2. Sesame seeds : 2 tsp
  3. Water : As required
  4. Salt : to taste
  5. Gingelly oil : As required
  1. Make a thin batter without any lumps in a mixer by adding enough water. The consistency should be little loose than the normal dosa batter.
  2. Add salt n whisk well.
  3. Add sesame seeds to it and mix well.
  4. Pour a laddle of batter to the hot pan and spread it into a dosa. Dont make it too thin.
  5. Oil the area around dosa and flip the dosa to other side so that both sides turn into golden colour. Remember to keep the flame in medium to high.

Serve with your favourite dip/chutney/curry.
